A disadvantage turns out to be an advantage: 145kg weighs offensive starter Steve Heyer
Stephon Heyer, a 27-year old NFL player is famous for his speed, field tactics, leadership qualities even after he weighs 145kgs (320 lb). Nothing is impossible if the goal is fixed and the strength is always increasing. Born and raised in Lawrenceville (1984), he was brought up under the care and protection of Glenda Heyer and Ronald Heyer. Interested in football from childhood only, Stephon appeared in Brookewood High school and joined their football team. He was a two year letterman in the school football team.
In school time, he gained lots of weight which further helped him a lot in future. Due to his athletic sense and sport spirit, he never lacks behind. Steve Heyer’s physique and immense body mass was perfect enough to deal with any player. Due to his incredible performance, many graduate colleges were keen to recruit him but he chooses Maryland for some reason. During his college academic years, he majored in criminal justice and criminology and along with the degree he achieved various merits as well due to his sports spirit.
Steve Heyer was honored as All-ACC Lineman in 2006 and was also honored with the selection in the All-Bowl team which was sponsored by ESPN.com. Known for his tremendous performance, Stephon Heyer was selected for playing in 2007 Hula Bowl shortly after he completed his graduation. Many American coaches were interested in training him for the national level. He has no clue till then that he will be playing for National football Team one day. An opportunity knocks his door when he was offered to play with Washington Redskins in 2007. His motto was never to let down any opportunity so he grabs it thinking it may end up in better thing and so it did. For playing with Redskins for four years he gained amazing experience and skills for handling players double his size and height.
When Redskins signed him, he was playing as an undrafted free agent in the year 2007. Currently he is playing for Oakland Raiders of National Football League (NFL) from 2011-present.
